Books list – what books are suitable?
I am not sure what level of books my DD should be reading? Currently we are reading Enid Blyton’s adventure series.
I would like to pick books that have complex vocabularies in it, but I am not a good reader, so I don’t know what book I should choose?
Could you give me some ideas please?
Thanking you all in advance

Michael Morpurgo has a huge range of titles to choose from.

There is a good list here http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/advice ... ading-list" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and if you put 'reading lists' into the search facility you should find plenty of other ideas.

why not go to your local library?
Lots of choice and your daughter can try different writers and styles easily.

DS loves reading and seems to requests the books he wants. He has a wish list on Amazon from which I place orders.
From the top of my head - Harry Potter (All 7) - Although the text is not complicated, they are quite good in the sense of building up passages and scenarios for the reader to understand. They are very long and should keep your DS/DD busy for a while.

Thank you yoyo123 and 11nuts.
This new 11+ exams making me think my child should read more books day and night without any sleep. (Just(half) kidding).
I am looking for some non-fiction books. There are some suggestions like horrible histories but nothing much.
May be I should start reading Alan Sugar’s biography with my child.
Thank you
