GS Admissions consultation outcome

Does anyone know when & how (& possibly if) we will hear the outcome of the recent consultation on the change to CEM test etc?

Presumably the outcome will be published on the school's admissions page. There is an update at WHS.

Thanks Garnett, for the tip off.
I've just looked at a few school websites & while on some there is nothing, on WHS, DCGS there is what looks like a standard statement, which basically says "you've told us your concerns but we're not going to change anything". This sort of response makes a mockery of the whole concept of consultation.

does anyone know where i can find the list of FAQ's from the consultation, cant seem to find it anywhere. thanks

Hello, just had a look at the CGS website
Quotes
"We have also given careful consideration to the objections to holding both tests on the same day. We recognise that this is a significant change in the procedure but we also recognise that schools in other parts of the country that do test on the same day have not reported problems. Parents have expressed concern that children who feel that they have done badly on the first test will not have time to recover. It should be noted that, under the new test procedure, the results of both tests are added together as opposed to the previous procedure where a low score could be superseded by a higher one. We have decided that all candidates, whether from Buckinghamshire schools or out-of-county schools, should take both tests on the same day."
So basically what they are saying is although parents are worried that if the child feels that they have done badly in the first test and therefore are upset and then do badly in the second test because of that, it's ok because both scores are added together? So 2 low scores make.......... Wait for it........a low combined score!
Unbelievable logic!
