Re: second round allocations
Thanks.....does this mean that the BHS allocation area has got smaller due to late applicants.....?Sally-Anne wrote:I now have a copy of the Second Round Allocation Profile. Although most schools have allocated an extra place or two, many of those have gone to late applicants already living within the Allocation distance from 1st March.
The following schools have allocated further out:
AHS to 17.746 miles (was 16.876)
BHS to 8.899 miles (was All In-Area)
BGS to 10.084 miles (was 8.414)
RLS to 7.693 (was 5.744)

No, it has got larger. Previously it was catchment only. Now it has gone to beyond catchment - up to 8.899 miles from the school gates.

It's my pleasure, Biar, and I hope he will be very happy there.
Re: second round allocations
I need some help. We are on the waiting list for AGS. Does this mean they keep some places available for something ( may be for appealed people ) ? or it's full at the moment. I want to know whether it is worth waiting or not. Thanks

It means its currently full. Schools cant keep places for appeal etc.nan wrote:I need some help. We are on the waiting list for AGS. But, places free up when others who have a place @ AGS get their preferred school either thru appeals or moving up the waiting lists......Depending on the waitlist number (you should get that letter today), you can take a call.
