Hi Ambridge

Have sent you a PM, but I have the numbers for RLS from a reliable source. The official number should be 168, but there were 169 admitted to the school this September.

I have sent you the numbers for previous years, and they show that RLS regularly exceeds it's supposed maximum. So, unless there are a number of leavers this year and no waiting list, it would probably be an Appeal on the 12+, but there is at least some chance of it succeeding.

Will let you know if I manage to find out numbers for Floyd & AGS.

Best wishes

Year 7 Numbers

Post by Ambridge »

Have got hold of some info re: Sir Henry Floyd which I would like to share!!!

Sir Henry Floyd at start of term were:

yr.7 = ?? waiting for numbers - can't be sure yet
yr.8 = 157
yr.9 = 152
yr.10 = 150
yr.11 = 151

There have been or are a few appeals taking place for SHF last week or this.

There have been some late selection appeals for RLS (last week?) - a few successes, a few leavers (pupils who failed to turn up on the first day of term). So the numbers for the first day of term could vary now by one or two per year group.

This site is just fab, a question is posted (mine in this case) and within a day or so people have ferreted around and an answer appears.

Regards and looking forward to completing the SHF info and receiving the AGS figures.

Thanks, Ambridge. Very helpful.

As your post makes clear, there can be a bit of movement at the beginning of the autumn term (a few pupils may have left during the summer holiday, and there may have been some late appeals).

I have some final starting numbers for SHF for Sept 2007 which I thought I would share...

Sept 2007 capacity 150
Sept 2007 actual numbers 120 (or maybe a couple less on actual term start date)

So it seems that SHF are currently way below their max (infuriating for those who put it as first choice and missed the 11+ by only a mark or two - what a system!!!).

Regards
