20, 6 (21) 9 8(30) 14 5 ( ) 21

21, 25(60) 33 45(74) 27 38( ) 46

23, 36(22)7 45(27) 9 48( ) 8

19. Add the two outside number and multiply answer by 2. i.e. 4+7=11*2=22

Hi Reena, Have looked at these quickly and.....

19, answer is 36 because add the 2 number in each sum outside the brackets and double the answer which then gives the middles number therefore 7 + 11= 18 bracket number 36

21 answer is 86 because again add the 2 number outside the brackets and then add 2 to get to the bracketed number so 38=46=84 + 2 = 86

23 answer is 32. not so sure on this but i think you subtract the number to the right of the bracket from the number on the left and then subtract the right hand number again to arrive at the bracketed number so 48-8=40 - 8 = 32.

Cant 'see' the other one yet. I hope the others are right but anyone feel free to dis agree with me :D been a long time since i was at school

23. double the right sided number and take away from the left sided number.

for example 7+7=14, 36-14 = 22

20. double the left sided number and add it to the right sided number.

for example: 6+6=12+9=21
