Transport Decision - new fares

Post by alana »

Apologies if this has already been posted, but I haven't yet heard directly from Amey transport or BucksCC regarding the new bus fares. I found this though:

https://democracy.buckscc.gov.uk/ieDeci ... px?ID=3477

Has anyone that already uses school transport had any correspondence regarding the decision? I don't want to miss the renewal date.

Thanks.

I only use primary transport have applied for secondary but not heard anything.

Re fares if you completed the consultation docs you should have gad stuff sent out to you. I know Mike Appleyard really wanted the £700+ option so I guess it'll go up again in a year. Speaking yo a year 11 pupil she said list of 6th formers are stopping using school transport due to cost.

Sadly we have no other options, but yes, the costs for 16+ are very high.

Last year the renewal dates were July 1st (ish) for years 7-11 and July 20th (ish) for 6th formers, so I would think we would hear something soon.
