Based on the below, it is indicated that those who has taken the perp test only be allowed to take the transfer test...

Is this true? Please can anyone confirm...

13 September 2016 – Preparation Test day for all pupils who registered and for all pupils in Buckinghamshire primary schools

15 September 2016 – Transfer Test takes place for pupils who sat the Preparation Test on 13 September

The reason is to give pupils time to practise the process of completing the answer sheets and listening to the CD for the instructions.

Why would you want to miss it if you are serious about a place in a Bucks GS?

If your child is not in a Bucks primary or a partner school they will take these tests at a GS.

You'll have to attend if you want to take the tests.

Where do you live and are you likely to get a place on distance if your child qualifies?

You'll need to move before October 1st to get your new address used - this is before results are out.

Relying on allocation profiles is a bit risky ... we don't know yet how many places some of the south Bucks schools will offer. Some increased places this year but may have room to do so again.

Children going in for independent school exams in January seem to manage several days' worth in the space of a week. All the traipsing back and forth to exam centres miles from home might be a bit tiring, though, but if you really want your child to take the real thing for Bucks, it looks like they will just have to do it. I don't know whether you are allocated the Bucks grammar nearest to your home address as a testing centre.I or whether the allocation is random?

keerthi - those two schools couldn't be more different - which one did you prefer when you visited?
