This links to the brochure for September '08 to August '09 entry - current year 6's. I can't see the brochure for September '09 - current year 5's. :?

That seems to happen fairly frequently at Bucks - a new item gets put up, only to disappear 24 hours later. :?

They usually reappear within a few days ...

The new 2009-10 Parents Guide has been reposted on the site given above...

Among other things, it seems they have (finally!) removed the claim "research has shown that extra familiarisation or coaching makes only a slight (if any) difference to the final score" - see p23 & p24.

I agree - seems like quite an important change. Someone also found a direct link to the more recent research, posted #2 on the old thread; http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/forum/ ... php?t=6965.

Question is: if Bucks CC did "confess" to a need for more coaching (say 30 hours), would they be able to make Bucks schools put aside the time to do it?

I think it's nFER who've done the confessing on this - Bucks only follow their guidance, and seem to have acted very quickly.

I can't see them introducing 30 hours VR coaching in schools.
(By the way, when Bucks say VR is the best measure of future perfomance, I think they mean best single measure).
