SAT results are late

So how does this affect 12+ applications from September?
What an almighty mess.
EDIT: Just read deeper and it looks like they won't be that late after all.

I did warn everyone weeks ago ... my child is one of the affected cohort at KS3. Even when the results arrive I want to check the papers as apparently even the numbers recorded on screen do not always match what has been typed in.

It should have no effect on 12+ applications - the form for those goes in late in the Autumn term.
An almighty mess though.
