Can anyone recommend a good English dictionary (preferably with cd ) with synonyms, thesaurus...
Vocabulary is my daughter weakest part!
We've installed Vocabulary Builder CD, very helpful indeed, but definitely need a good dictionary.

When compiling the wordlist for the CD we used a crossword solver to identify key words, then the "look up" facility on the computer that contains the spellcheck and thesaurus for synonyms and antonyms.
We used the Collins Children's dictionary for most words. However, for higher level and technical words we used the solver and our imagination.
There are some good on-line dictionaries if you search for one on google.
