Use of IPS for Bucks

We're preparing for the Bucks 11+, have a helpful Prep school and have been using a tutor too.

My question is: are the IPS materials that we buy from local libraries pitched at the same degree of difficulty as the actual Nfer papers for the real 11+?

Many thanks.

Hi Julie

I think the standard of IPS papers is at the lower end of the scale. The question types are the same but not the level of difficulty - they are a good starting point for preparation and a good confidence builder.

Dear Julie

I agree with Andyb

At this stage I would be using Bright Sparks by Susan Dauhghtrey and perhaps Walsh.

I would never use Walsh as tests, but they are useful to use a section at a time, in particular their use of vocabulary.
