11 Plus Exams Forum

When my daughter sat the 11+ four years ago one of her friends did not pass (115) and she had an older sister at Challoners and a twin who passed. The child somehow sat an entrance exam and was accepted in Challoners before the official appeals were taken? Have you ever heard of theis before? I only ask as my son is very bright but needs time on the 11+ papers as he likes to think things through and talking to his teacher she also feels that the High School would suit him.
If there was an exam that was based on his normal school work it would show that he is currently on recent tests the 3rd highest in his class.
Any help would be gratefully received.
