allocation for people who moved in Bucks recently
Sorry for the long post. I want to share this with other people and get some feedback.
We moved into Bucks back in August last year into rented accomodation. I contacted Bucks cc before we move to register my son for the 11+ exams. Bucks cc advised me that my son will not be given a GS place at allocation in March 2009 unless I show rent agreement that goes 6 months beyond the start of academic yeay in 2009. My rent agreement is for 24 months so it satisfies this condition.
However, I still own my previous property and Bucks cc asked about proof that I will not be able to go back there. They wanted to see evidence that either it is being sold or rented. In these market conditions I don't want to sell. So I rented it for 24 months starting Nov 2008.
I sent Bucks cc both rent agreements with covering letters.
Does anybody have a similar experience? With allocation day approaching I am getting worried. Should I contact Bucks cc? By the way my son passed his 11+ and we put RGS as first choice followed by JH (we live in catchment area of both).

Hi lubib
Provided you have sent copies of both those contracts to Bucks before the deadline (off the top of my head that was around 12th December), and Bucks have not contacted you since, there should not be a problem.
As they were actively querying your situation I would have expected them to continue to ask for more proof of residence if they were not satisfied. Both contracts are quite lengthy though, and I would expect them to have been accepted at face value, especially in the current housing market.
You can always call Admissions to make sure though.
I would advise anyone else needing to provide evidence in such a situation to get written confirmation that the evidence has been accepted. It does help to stop you worrying!

yes I did send it before the deadline. However, I did not send the whole contract. I only sent the relevant pages that show the contract start and end date and the signatures of the parties. I, however, told them in the covering letter that if they want to see the full contract then they should let me know. I did not hear back from them so I assume they are happy with what they've got.
