Hi all,

Being new to this forum, not sure if the info we need is already on here somewhere?

Daughter got through 12+ :D Just awaiting to see if we're lucky enough to get the school we want!! Is there anyway we can find out how many places a school may have for: Year 8 Sep 2009.

Any advice appreciated.

Historically there are usually places at Burnham Grammar, Chesham High and Sir Henry Floyd - look in the late entry booklet and it tells you how many places there were last year. You can't really guess because you don't know where others live who have also qualified and which schools people have named.

Welcome Tricky and congratulations!!

A couple of links below yours on the Bucks thread, in 'School Information' Sally-Anne posted the figures as of January 2008 and said that the figures for 2009 should be available soon.

It will give you an idea of where there are quite a few spaces but Guest55 has already mentioned those.

What school are you hoping for and someone might be able to be more specific.

Good luck

Hi Tricky1,

Give the school/schools a call direct and they will tell you if they have any places.

Good luck.

That won't really help as the school has no idea how many people have applied or how close they live - the LA allocate the schools and they won't start that until after appeals.

Thanks for all your comments, much appreciated. :)

I have managed to read through the threads, looks like it's just a case of waiting it out!!

May just seems so far away!

Thanks again :)
