Patricia,

Recently you were very kind and explained the 11 plus test to us.In your summary you mentioned the hiknos test as the remaining test that IPS did not do ,can you tell me which tests are recommended to practice the HIKNOS ones in .

many thanks

AHS :lol: :D

Dear AHS

Its not a HIKNOS test!....these are 6 types as identified/used by IPS

H= opposite in meaning
I = make the sums equal
K = related numbers
N = word number codes
O = find the word
S = 4 words with one meaning

If you look at the following link....the demo for CD1 by the Tutors ...HIKNOS are represented by numbers 16 - 21.

http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/cd/the ... lume-1.php

Basically the NFER tests that you can buy in the shops/this website do NOT include these 6 types.....yet the NFER test your child will sit for the 11 plus WILL include them. Hence I aways use NFER as my last tests before the real ones, to ensure practice in the same format....but MUST practice those HIKNOS questions along side.

If you go back to my original post.....following link...

viewtopic.php?t=929

All the papers/CDs except NFER contain HIKNOS.

Hope this helps.....please do not hesitate to ask......sad as it may seem I love VR......currently teaching myself NVR [ Bucks are not thinking of changing, so do not worry.]
