You are not the worst mother - its awful to hear them so upset. Is your other twin happy with her school place? Can you appeal?? Perhaps worth ringing the school and seeing if anything can be done. After all she did pass the test.

What a terrible situation to be in...... :(

My daughter said it's like getting your Hogwarts letter but I am so sad my sister didnt get one. What can you say to that? She desperately wants to take her place but my husband is anxious about her travelling alone.
I called the admissions who said she is 18 on the waiting list. No chance of that much movement so we have to appeal. That won't be until June. The stress continues.......

Preparing an appeal. Total nightmare. The admission policy doesn't even make sense!

My daughter got a letter today from the school welcoming her and congratulating her. She is thrilled. We have had to hide it from her twin to avoid more tears. Any of the boys heard anything?

We are out of catchment so our children do not move until year 9. We applied for both grammar schools because we wanted a girls grammar. There are no girls schools in Dorchester hence our need to travel.

Yes got a pack from BS last week. Surprised at how quickly they sent it out!
