thank you this is helpful. One further question- on the website-Test Types

The tests are set to be appropriate for the pupils in their final year of the KS2 national curriculum. Tests take account of the fact that candidates may not have covered all areas. All three tests are multiple choice format.

Maths Test (50 minutes) – is based on work which candidates would normally cover during Key Stage 2 of the national curriculum. It covers most aspects of Key Stage 2, up to level 5, with some questions aimed at level 6.

English (45 minutes) – covers comprehension, vocabulary and punctuation.

English Essay (30 minutes) – is intended to test ability to spell, punctuate, organise ideas, use a variety of syntax and be aware of the effect on audience of the composition of the piece. This paper is set in conformity with Key Stage 2 of the national curriculum.

Verbal Reasoning (50 minutes)- is intended to test a pupil’s academic potential and indicate areas of strengths or weakness.

It says all 3 tests- but 4 types mentioned above. I have not come across any papers re the English Essay?? Can anyone advise on this aspect? Thanks

The two English are counted as one. There are breaks between the tests but they all happen on the same morning so its quite intense but ok. They are allowed to have a snack and drink and wee breaks etc. The English written is usually a choice of titles or topics such as What was your favourite holiday or something like that.
