I've just found out that Parkstone Grammar School is undergoing some major building work - beginning this year - in preparation for the change from entry at year 8 to entry at year 7, which is scheduled to start in 2013.
This is line with Poole council wanting to align all the borough's secondary schools so that they have the same admissions age.
I had a look round Parkstone recently and have to say that I did find the premises a bit cramped. Not sure how the building work will affect school life - might have to start checking out other schools in the area. :(
