Hi,

I am new to all this, but have a DS currently in yr 4 at school. In year 3 his sat results were 3b for writing, 3b for maths and 4 for reading. I am hoping these are an indication that he would be suitable to sit the 11+, but not sure as current class teacher say not bright enough/special enough). But we would still like to give it a shot !

I am looking for a tutor to help him starting in September and any advice please !! Can anyone recommend a tutor ? Would like to get him into Colchester grammar if possible.

Many thanks.

Hello I can't recommend a tutor, but I would suggest starting with the Bond books for maths and English. You can download free sample papers from their website try 8-9 and 9-10. He should score around 65% on the papers that are the correct level. Bond is good for maths and English but not so useful for VR
