Hi
There is a short break of a few of minutes between the English and maths papers. If absolutely necessary the children may use the loo. Normally they remain at their desks while the papers are collected and the next lot handed out.
After the maths exam there is a small break, 15-20 mins approx. They can eat their snack at this point, chat to their friends, go to the loo, etc.

The letter should tell you the essentials when it arrives.

The 'frequently asked questions' in the csse site can provide you more info

from pg6/7

Edit The child should bring pencils, pen, a ruler and a rubber. No electronic calculator/ watch with a calculator built in.
