Results by email or post in March?

Back in Sept when we chose our schools and entered for the 11+ exam (online), I vaguely recall ticking a box that said I would prefer to know the result by email rather than post.
I think at the time that I thought it might mean a quicker response. i.e as the results are released on 1st March, we would hear then, rather than by post on 2nd March.
However, I am now going to be out of the country from 1st-4th march!

Can anyone please tell me if results are sent by email (or did I imagine it?!), if so, on what day? And is a postal result sent as well.

I cannot bear the thought of having to wait until I return on the 4th to find out :?

Thanks for any help....

I can't say for Essex but for London the results will be available online on 2nd March (i.e. the same day as the postal results start arriving). You have to access the website - they don't send the results by email.

dont know about e mail , but called essex lea yesterday myself. they said postal applications would be leaving the chelmsford office on the 28thfeb by 1st class post and it was up to the post office/post man to how quick they are recieved!! so i suggest give the chelmsford lea at the council a call and a very nice man will give you the correct date. if you are abroad are you aware most hotels have internet access now .at 1 euro for so many mins or there are internet cafes everywhere. so you neednt miss out . hope this helps and good luck.

If the post is leaving on 28 feb by 1st class, then presumably, it should(!) arrive on 1 March. Therefore, emails should be sent on 1 march to match those who have the most efficient postman! I hope the emails arrive on 1 march, as I have ticked that box, too!
