Hi, my DD is going to sit 11+ at chelmsford county high on Nov20. I would appreciate if anyone with previous experience could tell me more about the exam day in cchs, e.g., starting time, subject sequence, break time, the things to bring in....

Any advice for the exam day will be welcome. Thank you in advance.

Start times are either morning or afternoon. The school will write to you very shortly with this information.

The sequence of exams is:

English 40 mins
5 min break - stay seated
Maths 35 mins
20 min break - leave desks go outside, etc
50 min VR paper.

Take pencils, they have given these out before, but I would recommend that you send some in along with a really good rubber for the VR paper. I also recommend a watch, glasses, inhaler, etc. A banana/museli bar for the queue will keep your daughter occupied whilst waiting. A small snack for the longer break.

Good luck and feel free to ask any more questions.

Hi, Moved, thank you very much indeed for your advice! Now we have 19 days to go. Good luck to everyone in the same boat.
