CSSE exams - separate paper for working out?

Post by Minesatea »

With the essex exams is spare paper provided for working out? (DS can't remeber!)

I presume it should all be on the paper for the maths but what about the VR, also can they mark the question paper?

Finally, the VR paper, multiple choice, says mark the answer with a single line but then shows the whole box coloured in. If it is electronically marked surely it is better to colour the whole box?

It does seem to vary.
I would call CSSE to double check.
Issue with colouring in the box unnecessarily is that it wastes precious time!

They shouldn't need paper. They can write on the VR question paper. The maths paper is quite empty so plenty of space for working and the English paper doesn't really require working.

Thankyou. It was the VR we were most concerned about - having taught her to write on the paper for some of the questions, we suddenly had doubts!

Hi the children can write all over the question paper if they so wish but the VR answer paper they must only mark their answer box. It only needs a line of pencil - no time wasting filling out the whole box as it is computer read and the computer picks up the carbon. Don't worry if the computer can't rad it as it will then be read by eye.
