CCHS- "Who Am I?" Summer Project

Post by Hopefuldad »

I am a little bit concerned about this. I know in the past new Sept starters have had to do this project during the summer holidays. As mentioned on another thread, this is still in the schools website.
But, neither my DD or I, have been instructed to do this work.

Can anyone throw any light on this

much appreciated

You are not the first parent to mention that it has not been set this year. Sad, DD loved it.

I too saw this on website and called school to clarify if it was relevant to our new girls but was told that they had decided against it this summer and wanted the girls to enjoy their holidays

Thanks manicmummy.

Didn't realise the school would have been open, I would have called myself.

Very interesting as we have started to do it alongside other kids.

Yes, we are indeed doing this project as apart from anything else it gives insight into what would be required of them going forward.

We shan't be doing it DD having a ball her first summer with no homework!!! which is exactly the schools intention it seems. Each to their own though I thought it was a good idea. Reading and doing some ks3 maths to keep her ticking over and also helps with dd2 who has a summer project to do:) and feeling very hard done by!!
