Is anyone else feeling really anxious at the moment?

I think about Saturday all the time and had trouble sleeping last night. I just cannot wait until I wake up on Sunday morning and it will be over. No more worrying about how he will do. Fate will take over and what will be, will be.

My DS is quite chilled about the whole thing and I do not want to pass my anxiety onto him!!

I remember that feeling well , and on the day of the results I felt as if my legs might buckle underneath me at any moment...it's a bizarre time ! Just remember there is nothing you can do by worrying now, and when you are in bed at night try and put these thoughts out of your head as soon as they pop in or you go round and round it all and that's when you find yourself wide awake for the night. :(

It's good your DS doesn't seem worried although I have to say mine shook and burst into tears when the results came through so I think he was more anxious then he let on. Try and keep busy and forget it until the last possible moment :?

I still feel awfully sorry for the children when I see them walking into the grammar schools on exam day!

Thanks scarlett. I feel particularly stressed as my eldest DS is in Yr8 at CRGS. I am still surprised that my youngest DS wanted to do the 11+. I have done my best to make sure that they have both been given the same opportunity with a tutor and my time to assist them.

I vividly remember standing outside in the front car park waiting for my eldest DS. The children came out all looking shell shocked. I only remember seeing a couple of children who were actually smiling.

My DS didn't talk to me on the way home in the car and wouldn't discuss in detail about the exam. I remember him saying that he hadn't finished the V.R. and had left 5 or 6 questions at the end!

Thank goodness that I only have two children and that after Saturday, there will be no more 11+ studies!

Feeling ultra stressed now. DD sat down with me before bed, for a cuddle, and said that she wants the grammar school desperately, it is right for her, and wants to be there more than anything in the world!
Help, I think she has a 50/50 chance of passing, and dread opening the email on 1st March.

Since the whole 11+ prep has started I have progressively gained over 10KG!!!!! People seem to loose weight during anxiety but I seem to bloat :( .
