112 places, so you need 111 people above you to take a higher preference or go to an independent.
Given that most of the 120 that go to Chelmsford will have Colchester second choice, I wouldn't give up. DD has a place at ChCHS at 152 on the list, she was 77 on the Col list so one down 110 to go.

* For Southend/Westcliff Grammar Schools there are two offer lists, one for children attending primary school within the ‘Southend Priority Area’ and one for children attending primary school outside the ‘Southend Priority Area’. There is a minimum 'passmark' for places awarded within the 'Southend Priority Area' of 303.00, below which your child will not appear on a school's offer list. However, a score above the passmark is not, in itself, a guarantee of a grammar school place.



It may be helpful if southend/westcliff offers could state if they are in/out of priority area.

The weighted score seems high compared to last years cut off for kegs, but i believe 170 was last in, last year. Does anyone know if the weighted score has any relevance to rankings? i.e could ds be higher up waiting list than last year, because of score?
