Tutoring/Mock Exam

Post by Fismum »

Hi All,
I apologise in advance if anyone had posted this before but i need other people's experience with S6 Tutoring before we commit to it. Please PM me.
We have been doing self tutoring at home, i just dont know if it will be sufficient though DD is doing very well but one can never tell. We are keen to get her into Chelmsford County

Also can anyone help with where we can take our DD for mock exams in Essex?

Thanks a lot

Hi Fismum

See "S6 Tutoring" thread http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/forum/ ... 15&t=23431" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; perhaps you could pm some of the forum members who have said they are prepared to discuss their experiences. I believe S6 also do mock exams.

Genuine recommendations by PM only (private message) are acceptable - but beware of the possibility that someone who appears to be offering a recommendation may have a vested interest! Please let us know if you think anyone is abusing the system by soliciting for business or 'spamming'. (It's easy to report a possible problem: just click on the 'report button' - the red exclamation mark.)

Always treat recommendations from unknown persons with caution. However, there are many long standing members (check the date of joining and number of posts) who make a valuable contribution to the forum. If you receive a recommendation from one of them, it could be worth considering seriously (while still exercising a degree of caution).

If you receive a recommendation from anyone else, please exercise extreme caution!

Hi Fismum

Sorry but no experience of S6. However, I note from your previous posts that you are in the Harlow area - sorry if I've got that wrong - but if so I just wanted to make sure your up to speed with the new admissions consultation process for ChCHSG & KEGS 2013 entry which is proposing a 12.5 mile priority area - if you view the map on the KEGS website Harlow falls just outside but of course your home address maybe within the boundary? Just wanted to make you aware before you sign up for the tutor

Thanks yoyo123. I will check the links for tutors.

Thanks Clarabelle,
yes i live in Harlow and i was hoping we will not fall outside the 12.5 radius but i suppose there is still a small percentage for people who fall outside.
we are really keen for her to go CCHS as we dont really like our local comps
