11 Plus Exams Forum

Are they tested on Maths, English, VR and NVR? I'd automatically assumed that NVR was one of the papers, but I can't see it mentioned on the CSSE website and it's not amongst the past papers for sale... and are ALL the papers multiple choice? Including the English?

And does Colchester County High School for Girls have open days? No mention on their website and when I enquired by email, I received a curt reply saying to ring for an appointment!

Still trying to get my head round all of this

ColCHS do not have open days as such. What they do have are open mornings where you are shown round by the year 8's. You can't just turn up though and have to make an appointment. I guess this is to ensure they are not swamped. The dates for this year can be found here:

There is no NVR paper in Essex. VR is all multiple choice but the Maths and English are not. However, other contributors to this forum will be better placed to answer.

Thanks, I was sure I'd seen some dates for open mornings, but when I tried to find it for a 2nd time it completely eluded me!
