Hello all, just joined site, attempting to understand the minefield that is the 11+ exams! this website has been invaluable....thank u!!!
I am at the stage of trying to pick out a good tutor and will be grateful if anyone is willing to recommend anyone (by PM) in the Essex area. Haven't been to see any of the grammer schools yet, so no preference and will be more than pleased if she gets into ANY :)
Many thanks

Genuine recommendations by PM only (private message) are acceptable - but beware of the possibility that someone who appears to be offering a recommendation may have a vested interest! Please let us know if you think anyone is abusing the system by soliciting for business or 'spamming'. (It's easy to report a possible problem: just click on the 'report button' - the red exclamation mark.)

Always treat recommendations from unknown persons with caution. However, there are many long standing members (check the date of joining and number of posts) who make a valuable contribution to the forum. If you receive a recommendation from one of them, it could be worth considering seriously (while still exercising a degree of caution).

If you receive a recommendation from anyone else, please exercise extreme caution!

Hi Oyinks.

Welcome to the site, its full of friendly people.

What part of Essex are you in? How far do you want to travel, some tutors come to you, some you go to them..

Have you thought about doing it the DIY way?

What year is your DD in?

Good luck
djy

thank you djy, we are near brentwood and willing to travel within reason, also consider tuition at home, all depends on finding the right tutor. DIY not an option for us as we both work fulltime...more importantly, patience is very low down on my list of virtues :)
