These three results are adjusted to take account of any variations in the difficulty of different papers each year and combined to produce your child's overall, standardised, weighted score of: 376.081

Just called CRGS about the 'Information sessions'. These are for parents only and are a one hour slot each. I imagine that a representative of the school will be explaining more about the application process and the long long wait rather than selling the school.

You can go on Weds or Thurs and at 2pm or 3pm.

I imagine seeing hundreds of parents there will push me over the edge.

I wasn't actually asked for a score but possibly she did it by surname (as I'd left a message).

I am hoping that we get more detailed information at the open day as to likely scores for the last place, given the high scores we are seeing this year.

I wonder if we could compile a list of useful questions to ask at the open day? If we all chip in, we could possibly cover every angle?

My first question will be "What is the lowest mark offered on 1st March in each of the last 4 years, and what was the lowest mark admitted from the waiting list in each of the last 4 years."

Just spoke to the lady at Colchester. It's up to us to bring our DC along but it may be boring for them as there won't be much to see. She said if we are coming to discuss highest or lowest marks from this year's results then that sort of information would not be available. The whole purpose of the evening is to talk us through the process of applying in very general terms. If one feels that they already understand this then it is not essential to attend the session.
Oh! and they are trying to cut down on numbers so better not to bring DC!!!!
