Scores on the doors 2013 entry - comments

Post by dez »

My suggestion is to try to have both treads to appear similar (ie "Scores 2012" vs "Scores 2013"). I am sure "Scores on the doors for 2012 entry" vs "Scores on the doors for 2013 entry" are equally good.

I know this year is 2012!!! But I am not quite sure why if we use

"Scores 2012" for 2012 entry
"Scores 2013" for 2013 entry

that means October 2013 results would be "Scores 2014"?

I will keep the name as it is, to avoid confusion! I will also add it to the sticky so that it is easy to find.

Just to throw a real statistical spanner in the works; whilst I've found reading past scores very interesting, and will be glued to this forum tonight, population projections are such that we know cohort sizes will increase then drop then increase again over coming years and numbers of children born in any given cohort plus level of difficulty of test set will always impact on scores required to gain places. That and catchment changes mean year on year estimates are very much art not science!

If nobody minds I will split this thread so that only the scores remain. It is already on the second page without a single score. I will wait until later today to do this as I'm frantically piling through work at the moment.

I still haven't heard. I'm refreshing my emails constantly, and fielding calls and texts from family.

Yes it would be useful to see only scores on the 'Scores on the doors' thread. I have scrolled through pages of 'still waiting' and really want to see a list of the scores please. :)
