KEGS change in admission numbers

Anyone worked out how the recent change from 112 boys to 120 will affect entry chances?? My son is very borderline and in catchment so hoping this will give him that extra chance.

There will still be 80% places for incatchment so in theory it just means an extra 6 places for incatchment and 2 for out of catchment.

When and where were the change to the admission numbers announced? Could not see it on their website.

Yes, the school wrote to parents yesterday. 112 to 120 changing classes from 28 to 30. An extra 8 places, 96 of which will be for the priority area.

They wrote to all the headteachers in Essex as well.
