Playing devil's advocate for CCHS
Okay this is driving me mad and I will stop analysing soon but this is my take on it:
Looking at the 2012 intake and bearing in mind that the ooc were increasing close to 50%:
Year 7 accepted:
Total 120
Out of Catchment 42.50% = 51
In catchment 57.50% =69
Applicants:
Total 100% = 803
Out of catchment 56.30% = 452
In catchment 42.70% = 351
Last place I can fathom that was offered was 161 of those that put it on the CAF
Therefore:
Number that rejected offers or not in 1st place (non priority and priority) were:
161-120 = 41
Number of ooc children included in 120 accepted were : 51 from above
This will reduce the list when the ic rankings are first worked out by 51
Therefore of the applicants that actually put CCHS on the CAF: 92 would have been removed
before the IC list was worked out.
Being conservative:
Lets assume of top 120 that 30% are ooc = 36
Assume that in line with 2012, 41 reject or put 2nd = 41
Assuming that 20 don't even put on the CAF = 20
Total adjustment = 97
Cut off can be estimated at 97 +96 for IC girls 193
Therefore I am estimating if Aang's calculation of the standard deviations etc put you at around 193 and below you are safe if in catchment.
Any thoughts anyone?

The equality report was written in Feb 2012, so the y7 figure is for the 2011 intake not 2012.
The kegs equality report, that I can not assess any longer, showed by 2011 over 60% of students were oc. This is what led the catchment changes.
I think you are right, the cut off will probably be around 109 and place 193.
... You need to stop fretting now!

Araucana girl, submit your application for CCHS and then take a deep breath!
Enjoy your half term and forget aaaallll about the 11+ plus torture that we have just endured!
If there was a thumbs up emoticon, I'd have put it here!

Well done Araucana girl - it sounds as though your figures, given any unpredictable anomaly may be spot on....so yes...press submit and enjoy the calm before March....places/uniforms/travel etc.....
