Possible change to CRGS admission numbers from Sept 2015

CRGS is hoping to increase admission numbers in year 7, 2015
Increase from 96 to 120
The school is applying to build 6 new rooms to accommodate the increase.
Potentially good news for this years 11+ takers hoping to get into this excellent school.

Doh.. forgot to ask where you got this info from ?
Its not on the CRGS website but I was told by the School office about 6 months ago this was the plan.

The parents of current pupils were sent a letter from the headmaster by email today. The proposal is going to be posted on the school website soon. The school hopes to hear in April if the bid for funding for the new classrooms is successful.

It doesn't make it absolutely clear if the increase will go ahead if the building programme funding bid isn't successful. I am guessing they will try anyway since the reduction in funding for the 6th form.

The admissions page of the CRGS website is now stating the PAN for year 7 in 2015 as 120.

Wonder what they will do about the 6th form. Make it bigger too or admit fewer external candidates. They have 5 years to decide I suppose.

The 6th form has been growing steadily over the last few years but funding for them has been cut recently so perhaps it may not be able to continue expanding. So sadly I guess it may return to the external candidate numbers of c 5 years ago.
