When I asked DD2 (at CoCHS) whether she thought that this was representative of her YR 7 Class, she was quite enthusiastic in her answer :D She feels that around 25% to 35% were born between September and January - certainly nowhere near as high as 50%.

One winter and one summer DS here, both at ss gs and in fact the summer one scored much higher in 11+ than winter one - more than the "extra" points given for being a summer babe.

Both seem to have a good spread of friends born through the year though.
