Well I've not heard anything about that and I probably would. With all the changes to the exam this year I would think the CSSE schools will look at how effective the new pattern is for a few years first.

And I'm sure that KEGS will stick with the CSSE, so we'll only change if they do.

I got told on Tuesday that CCHS are going to change their exam again because they weren't happy with this years results.

I think to be absolutely selective with the desire cohort of intake, CCHS probably need to do a two rounds 11+ exam like HBS and TGS?

First round by CEM follow by a second round of extended English & Maths.

But the first CEM cohort does not start CCHS until Sept 14.
How would CCHS know if they are happy with the selection process until the girls have actually started? It could be their brightest cohort yet. :?

I got told that it's something to do with how the 11+ results compared to the CEM results (for those girls who took both). Don't know all the details but apparently they are looking at a more creative writing etc approach

Who told you that they weren't happy? That sounds like someone spreading rumours to be honest with you. When we went for the post results talk at CCHS the head said that they were very pleased with how the exams had gone. I think it very unlikely that they would be comparing the CEM result to scores in the CSSE exam, otherwise what was the point of moving away from CSSE- if they held those results in any great esteem they would not have spent the money to move to CEM.
Sorry this sounds like sour grapes from a parent of a child that did well in CSSE but didn't make the grade for CEM!

Thanks For that, that puts my mind at rest, I think it is a parentvgetting confused with the new changes for CSSE as I haven't found anything else to back up the rumour.

Also I thought CCHS were now tied into a three year contract with CEM ! Don't think they would be thinking If changing yet, would not make sense without analysing several years results anyway.
