does that mean the scores on the information sheet will be lower?

Eg is last place offered last year was around 343 and 334 is lowest on sheet, could it go even lower given the extra places??

That is such a good point. To be honest I would ring the school on Monday and ask.

The CRGS cut off mark seems to have steadily increased over the last few years, last year was the highest. Possibly the Chelmsford catchment area had some effect. The extra spaces will hopefully take it down to where it was a couple of years ago, but the extra class on ColCHSG last year did not make a major change to the cut off point. There are often several children to each whole number score so a class full could be filled from a very small score range.
