Re: Kegs increased numbers 2015
The increase is effective from September 2015 and the information is now on Kegs website under admissions. Hope that helps.

Re: Kegs increased numbers 2015
Thanks.... though I'm still confused!
The website states "We will also be increasing our intake into Year 7 from 120 to 150, which will take effect from the September 2015 intake." Which says to me 150 THIS September going in but the 2015 admissions policy on the page still states 120 intake and the 2016 policy states 150 intake??

Can I suggest that you contact KEGS for clarification?
Re: Kegs increased numbers 2015
The extra places will be for boys in the current Y6 who took the 11 plus in Sept 14. There will be 30 additional places allocated in March (24 for i/c and 6 for o/c) to take up the 150 Y7 places in Sept 15.
So in the last couple of years KEGS, ColCHS, CRGS, SHSB, WHSG and now KEGS again have increased their number of places available. Great news... especially if you, like our family, are one of the lucky ones to benefit from these additional places.

The standard is 4 chosen AS subjects and GS.KB wrote:I'm sure the senior management team & governors will have been planning this for some time so the head would certainly have known at the parents' information evenings what was in the offing.
The top heaviness of the 6th form at CRGS was partly a problem due to the number of subjects they take and that historically the teaching hours per subject are above average. Is this the same at KEGS?
Teaching hours are definitely less then CRGS.

Hello all,
So with seats increased in all the boys grammar schools in the county and a comparitively lower marks than last few years, do we think that anyone with 330 and above stands a chance at KEGS and CRGS?
