Hello

Asking for another parent. Her son is on the KEGS waiting list and apart from the train via Shenfield and Firstbus route 351 are there any other known alternatives?

Would the train option be well used for the Brentwood/Shenfield stations as she is concerned about him travelling alone at such a young age?

Also are there any planned meets ups before September in the Brentwood area as his mum doesn't drive? (if he is granted place from the waiting list of course.)

Any guidance would be much appreciated.

We don't have DC at either of the Chelmsford grammars, but I think I am quite safe in saying that your friend's DS will certainly not be travelling alone if he gets the train. Plenty of pupils use the train from her area, both to Chelmsford and to the Southend grammar schools. He just has to make sure he follows the right colour uniform (blue kilts not green on the girls, for a start). :)
