Maths syllubus

My DS will be strating yr 5 next week. We are training him to take 11 plus aiming for Kegs and ilford county. Can any one tell me if Sets and rate of work type problems are expected to be covered?

No idea about kegs but for ilford the national curriculum up to the end of ks2 should be covered before the exam.

It depends on your childs school, my experience has been that additional teaching either at home or with a tutor was essential. We used various 11plus preparation books which often come with advice on timing etc. Bond books are a good place to start as they cover various ages. In year 5, my sons just did 20 mins of Maths English and Verbal Reasoning.
