I wonder what the ColCHS stats are then as that's the school we'll be applying for

I dont think we can draw any conclusions from it. As I said before, 1000 boys sitting the exam overall is way to low to be correct. 1000 at CRGS alone sounds high. But mainly you cant assume anything because the test centre is just that, a test centre, applications havent closed yet, so just because a boy sat the exam at CRGS doesnt mean he will apply there. It may be that eg WHSB had too many exam sitters and so some of these were pushed to CRGS for the exam.
If the CSSE are prepared to release the total numbers of DC that sat the exam that might give us a clue but even then you dont know how many children are using the CSSE exam as back up/practice for other areas.
