CRGS doesn't have a catchment. My DS got an offer on March 1st last year with 336.7.

Hello everyone, newbie here. Not sure where my previous post disappeared (think I put it in the wrong topic..only registered today, still finding my feet in the 11+ forums)

Here are the scores

Son
English 44
Maths 54
Standardised score 364.65

KEGS out of catchment
CRGS

The 11+ grammar school option was a last minute idea. Registered 2 weeks before the end date in july and prepared for the exams using Bond,CGP papers etc.. during the summer holidays.

Are the scores good enough for KEGS or CRGS. Any help and guidance will be much appreciated.
How I wish I registered in the 11+ forum much earlier ! We are an hour away from Chelmsford and Colchester and considering moving to either place depending on whether son gets a place in one of the above shools

DS. overall 343.26. From memory breakdown : English 40/60. maths 46/60. crgs. hopefully he has done enough to get place, he certainly couldn't have tried harder. very proud

Also seems like highest raw score in English (among all the scores reported on this thread). Anyone else with score higher than 383?

I can understand that Continuous Writing is never going to fetch 100% score, but it makes up for only 10 of the 60 marks in English. There will always be a few scoring 60/60 in Maths; but there aren't any scoring remotely close to 55+ in English. I wonder why that is so.

Really borderline for both so have to hope luck is on our side - but massively proud of my boy!!!
