Uniform policy at Chelmsford County (CCHS)
Does anyone know if Chelmsford County allows full-length trouser to be worn (instead of standard skirt) for religious reasons?
I presume that trousers are anyway allowed for Sixth Form, but is it also permitted for year 7 entrants? On the open day, I probably saw 1-2 girls wearing scarf and trousers, but couldn't make out if they were at school level.
Unfortunately the school is closed this week, so I can't inquire directly from the school.
Feel free to pm me with details.

Is there anything on the school website?

Navy blue trousers are acceptable instead of a skirt (not just for religious reasons)

Thanks for the link. I think the following bit clarifies the issue:MmeOgg wrote:Navy blue trousers are acceptable instead of a skirt (not just for religious reasons)

"A tartan kilt KNEE LENGTH ONLY or navy blue trousers"
So it seems trousers are very much permitted to substitute the kilt/skirt for years 7-11.

mkak123 - CCHS allow the headscarf and navy trousers. The school is very supportive of cultural / religious needs.
