are scores standerdised by age for CSSE exams
Hi
Just wondered if any of you lovely parents could help me with the following question are the test scores standerdised by age for the CSSE exams ? my son is one of the oldest in his class would he need to get a higher mark to get the same score as someone else due to his age?.
Have a great weekend
Best,
Ayesha

The CSSE test is not age standardised.

Have a look on page 9 of my 'Collated Cut-offs' thread for more info on standardisation.
Basically all papers are marked and the average mark for all the papers is calculated. This average mark gets a standardardised score 100 (or 150 in the case of Essex). So a child getting the average mark on both papers would score 300.
