Hey All,

Preparing DS for 2018 entry, exam in 2017.

Thinking of preference for schools before we decide which ones she should try to get into.

Any advise would be very welcome.

Kind Regards,

R

I assume you mean DD? Your DS won't get into any of the girls' grammars until 6th form :) .

It doesn't matter, when choosing a school, which one is 'fashionable'. You look at the schools to which your daughter can reasonably travel each day whilst being able to maintain contact with friends, take part in after-school and out of school activities that she fancies and you choose the one which she and you think will be the best fit for her. Not other people or their children.

Fashion is what she wants to wear at the weekend. Or not.

Anyway, rant over :) .

Which of the Essex grammar schools are within sensible travelling distance for your DD?

(SHSG open evening 5.30 - 8pm tonight, by the way. I shall be in the canteen, doing the refreshments).
