Hello,

One of my daughter's answers in an English practice paper is correct but it contains a spelling mistake. Does this mean that she will be scored 0 for the question?

I would expect it to be marked wrong in the real exam.

The most important thing is that she learns the correct spelling ahead of the exam. I had a similar case with my daughter last week in a cloze test where she incorrectly spelt bizarre (wrote bizzare). It's great that she knew the right word but spelling needs to be accurate.

Thank you, I had a feeling it would be marked wrong! :(

just read on the CSSE paper - front cover says incorrect spellings / grammar will be penalised.
