Thank you voyagers. My son got 324 which is amber in the guidance sheet. Your speculation that cutoff score ought to be lower this year gives me hope. :)

Yes WHSB 1st, SHSB 2nd. We may just get very lucky :D

Hope you're not choosing Westcliff because your DS wants to avoid rugby - their recently-appointed Director of Sport is a coach at Southend Rugby Club :lol:

Thanks for the info ToadMum. DS can live with rugby; football is his pet peeve. He would love to eliminate all team sports from the curriculum :lol:

The Combined Cadet Force, Latin, German and Economics win it for Westcliff.

Given his very borderline score, we would be very happy to be offered either school.
