Thank you voyagers. My son got 324 which is amber in the guidance sheet. Your speculation that cutoff score ought to be lower this year gives me hope.

Will keep my fingers crossed for you mkl. Are you applying to both schools?

Yes WHSB 1st, SHSB 2nd. We may just get very lucky

Hope you're not choosing Westcliff because your DS wants to avoid rugby - their recently-appointed Director of Sport is a coach at Southend Rugby Clubmkl wrote:Yes WHSB 1st, SHSB 2nd. We may just get very lucky

Thanks for the info ToadMum. DS can live with rugby; football is his pet peeve. He would love to eliminate all team sports from the curriculumToadMum wrote:Hope you're not choosing Westcliff because your DS wants to avoid rugby - their recently-appointed Director of Sport is a coach at Southend Rugby Clubmkl wrote:Yes WHSB 1st, SHSB 2nd. The Combined Cadet Force, Latin, German and Economics win it for Westcliff.
Given his very borderline score, we would be very happy to be offered either school.
