My DD is due to attend the hockey coaching that starts next week at CCHS. I'm curious to know about the format of the sessions, specifically if we, the mums, are encouraged to stick around and be sociable too or are we politely asked to come back in an hour when its all over!?

(I'm really trying to find out how long I will out of the house and then decide if I need to arrange childcare for her DBs! )

ps I did try to PM Bev Bee on this embarrassingly mumsy question rather than expose the whole forum to it, but the PM got stuck in my outbox!

Sorry for butting in to an Essex thread...!
Messages get stuck in the outbox until the person it is sent to has read it. Then the message goes into the sent box

Thanks Ed's mum. I'm new to posting and hadn't realised that is how the messaging works.

Silly question + not understanding how to use this fab website=

Hi

Having trouble with my e-mails! The hockey coaching days as far as I can remember are a chance for the girls to meet others in their form. They are put into groups (according to surname I think as in the forms). My husband didn't hang around, just went back to collect her (we thought this might be better for our daughter as she was the only one from her school and it gave her a chance to make friends without mum or dad watching!). I am sure your daughter will enjoy it.

Thanks once again for the information. My DD went to the coaching last night. You were right, she enjoyed it! Turns out a few of girls she spoke to are friends of friends, so the social ball certainly has started to roll 8)

It was very laid back and the parents were invited to watch or to drop the girls off. All in all, well worth the effort of getting through the Chelmsford traffic. (Is Chelmford Town Centre always so busy??)

My daughter also went to the hockey coaching and she loved it as well! She came out smiling saying that she had already made some friends. I'm afraid that the traffic is usually like that in Chelmsford at that time. We live in Chelmsford so it wasn't too bad for us.

On another note can anyone tell me if we have to get all of the pe kit from the official suppliers or can we shop around? I see from the kit list that the white sport shirt says "club sports only" next to it but I am not clear about the rest of it. Thanks.
