Ribston Hall is a wonderful school, and I just can't praise it enough. My dd is y7 and thriving there. The school nurtures the whole child, and has a warm and inclusive vibe. Dd is well-motivated, and throws herself into her homework when she returns home every day. She has made many friends already, and also has energy for extra-curricular activities at the schoool. She loves the school dinners, which always sound mouth-watering (a 4-week dinner schedule is provided) and are both healthy and inexpensive. The Head and her staff are really supportive and approachable. We are so so happy with Ribston. Like I said - I just can't praise the school enough!

Another positive post for Ribston! My daughter in Y8 loves it, and looks forward to going to school every day. Head is brilliant and very hands-on! She teaches Year 7s, so she can learn all their names, which amazed my daughter! She’s currently supervising my daughter’s skiing lessons, one of the many extra-curricular activities on offer.

Yes, the school has a reputation for dance, but there are also lots of sporting opportunities (school now a humanities and sports specialist school). Currently funds are being raised for new state-of-art sports hall which will make sport provision even better, and may even give Ribston an edge over its rivals in the future!

A bit of chaos here and there, but perhaps Ribston not so formal or traditional as DR - the girls themselves seem very confident and lively! As others say, you have to decide what suits your child.

Exam results not so much of a consideration in these first couple of years, and with our help and support, we know she’ll do well when the time comes. We just happy that she’s settled, doing well and getting a an excellent all-round education at Ribston.

Best thing would be to go back with your daughter and have a look during the school day.
