Rugby boy: STR or Marling?

Hi all,

We're not in exactly in a position to be pick right now BUT just in case... I think we may have underestimated Marling when we visited as the boy showing us around wasn't that into sports and the same thing when we went to STR. My DS loves reading and Maths but he absolutely loves rugby! Any information would be much appreciated - slightly concerned when read somebody's post making reference to clubs & activities at STR which didn't include football so got me thinking...!

As far as I know they are both extremely sporty schools, in fact very much on a par in many respects.
If you are in a position of passing for both I guess your first choice would have to be a combination of gut feeling about the school and distance from wherever you are.

Thank you Ruby Tuesday!

I suppose I'm trying to decide which one to fight for come March... or go for both!!! :-)

Glos_Mum is right - it's there, the rugby if you want it at Tommy's, not if you don't. My little lad (year 8) does it whenever he can - most lunchtimes and matches and so on. He's not brilliant, but really enjoys it.
